Revenue Manager

Job Summary

The Revenue Manager leads the effort amongst the management team to recommend, design, develop and implement the sales and marketing strategy and programs for short and long-term company growth. Responsible for planning, designing, creating, and delivering marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of company products and services. Creates brand messages and improves brand awareness. Develops sales presentations and provides reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing.

Coordinate and develop sales and marketing policies, programs, and campaigns for the entire service business unit. Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department’s sales volume. Pursues relationships with potential new accounts and manage and seek business expansion opportunities with current clients. Directly in charge of the execution of the sales and marketing efforts to achieve business unit goals. This person acts as advisor to the team regarding projects, tasks, and operations and creates brand messages and improves brand awareness. The goal for the Revenue Manager is to ensure that all sales opportunities are being pursued while looking for new and creative ways to expand the business and ensures that the company is communicating effectively both inside and outside of the business with customers, current and future employees, and the community at large.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Members of the sales team, the marketing team, and Account Representatives.
  • Interview potential candidates and train new employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Has authority for personnel actions.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Researches, gathers, and analyzes information to identify new markets and customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing campaigns and strategies.
  • Conducts market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to assess and ensure the sale and profitability of products.
  • Conducts pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product and service pricing.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the market; identifies needs for new products and services and makes recommendations to leadership.
  • Analyzes and evaluates financial aspects of product development.
  • Negotiates contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy.
  • Creates sales and marketing materials, plans, and initiatives.
  • Maintains and improves the company’s digital presence.
  • Trains and supports members of the sales and marketing team.
  • Assists with sales and marketing budget preparations.
  • Oversees sales process from the beginning to the end.
  • Communicates and manages current commercial and residential account holders/clients and pursues opportunities to gain new accounts.
  • Manages all residential and commercial service contracts.
  • Monitors and ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect business revenue.
  • Liaises and collaborates with leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  • Communicates with contracting division to find and pursue service sales opportunities.
  • Preforms job walks to create estimates when necessary.
  • Creates proposals for clients and potential customers.
  • Responsible for recommending financial and non-financial strategic alternatives and developing and maintaining operational plans.
  • Estimates material and labor costs for projects in response to requests for proposals.
  • Analyzes post project costs and uses data to inform future project estimates.
  • Trains and supports members of the sales and marketing team.
  • Works with technicians to create job estimates as needed.
  • Obtains price quotes from vendors as needed.
  • Calculates/verifies commissions on new equipment installations as needed.
  • Prepares reports and audits to monitor and improve sales and operations effectiveness
  • Contributes and assists with, or prepares and updates, operations manuals, policies, processes, and procedures, and monitors and ensures compliance.
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Education/Experience

  • College degree in marketing, sales, or business preferred.
  • Five years of sales/marketing experience (industry experience preferred).
  • Minimum of High School Diploma.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to drive a company service van from time to time.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
